Smoothing the mouth
The mouth of the gungon is smoothed and cleaned.

The sewing has reached a halfway around the gungon.  The gbandaa (strings made of hide) are pulled against the rope and the skin as the seat of the gungon (gbankugra or gungon kugra).  The protective pieces of skin (the gbanchirga) are clearly visible.
